A minimum of three years of experience in electrical maintenance with vocational training preferred. A working knowledge of motor control repair. Knowledge of heating and air‑conditioning systems. Ability to read blueprints and instructions. Capability of climbing and working at heights. Reports To: Superintendent of Education, Deputy Superintendent, Director of Maintenance, and/or the Superintendent’s designee. Job Goal: To work with fellow employees in performing all job assignments in an economical and timely fashion. Mission and Goals Works with the Superintendent and those who he/she supervises to articulate and promote the school system's vision of learning and teaching. Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of the system’s goals and objectives. Ensures that unit and program plans are consistent with the system's strategic plan. Organizes daily, monthly, and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools. General Responsibilities Conducts electrical repairs on all types of electrical devices. Implements work orders assigned to him/her by supervisor. Assists supervisor in monitoring the district's energy management and conservation program. Reports to maintenance office the amount of time and list of parts used on each job assignment. Inspects mechanical equipment on a regular schedule or as assigned by the supervisor. Makes recommendations to the supervisor on equipment repair needs. Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, the Deputy Superintendent, the Director of Maintenance, and/or the Superintendent's designee. Terms of Employment: Twelve months per year; salary and work year will be established by the Board of Trustees. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
