Location 102 S Wenatchee Avenue - Wenatchee, Washington 98801 Job Summary Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. Personal Bankers engage clients in deeper conversations to uncover needs and provide guidance and solutions to assist clients in their financial wellness, both in person and through proactive calling efforts. As part of the branch team, the Personal Banker will work toward attracting new clients, develop and expand relationships with existing clients, and build client confidence through sales‑driven, client‑first service. Essential Functions Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact on their personal, professional, and financial lives. Lisks for clues for financial wellness opportunities during in‑person and over‑the‑phone client conversations and provides effective, customized financial wellness recommendations. Consistently attains individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations. Opens personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.). Develops strong partnerships with branch teammates and line‑of‑business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening relationships with current clients; manages internal and external centers of influence. Ensures compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures, including documentation of client interactions. Supports branch operations, assisting with client transactions on the teller line as needed. Participates in and occasionally facilitates in‑person morning huddles and end‑of‑day debriefs. Works on Saturdays as directed by management. Performs other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice. Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, conducts business ethically, avoids conflicts of interest, and acts in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required). Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Work Experience 1+ years of experience developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources. Sales experience is more important than financial services experience. Understanding of consumer credit, including loan‑to‑value, debt‑to‑income, and credit reports. Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele‑consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking. Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact‑finding questions to be helpful. Demonstrated experience influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence. Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office products such as Word and Excel). Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web‑based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms within Key. Licenses and Certifications Notary License (preferred) Skills Knowledgeable about clients’ accounts and business with the bank, using sound judgment for transactions. Demonstrated ability to attain sales and referral goals through preset appointments and quality conversations. Strong work ethic and high level of integrity. Excellent time‑management skills. Building and nurturing relationships with clients: identifying potential clients, engaging to understand needs, developing strategies, and converting them into long‑term clients. Attentive to client needs, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive banking experience. Ability to evaluate financial information, identify investment opportunities, and recommend strategies. Understanding and managing risks associated with banking operations and client transactions. Strong verbal and non‑verbal communication skills. Accurate and efficient handling of cash transactions. Physical Demands Consumer Retail – Prolonged standing (5‑8 hours per day), use of hands to manipulate or grasp objects, face‑to‑face and phone communication, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, lifting 1–10 lbs. occasionally up to 30 lbs. Driving Requirements Ability to routinely and frequently operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license. Compensation And Benefits Base hourly rate: $20.67 – $31.25. Placement within the range may vary by skills, experience, and location. Compensation includes incentive compensation such as production, commission, and discretionary incentives.
