Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) are the frontline partners in delivering our purpose, guiding pharmacy teams, and ensuring safe, patient‑centered care. Responsibilities Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts. Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by ensuring pharmacy workflow procedures are followed and safety guardrails are used at every workstation. Assume the Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist‑on‑duty. Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with the patient’s healthcare team, and proactively resolving insurance or medication issues. Offer and deliver immunizations while supporting Pharmacy Technicians in learning immunization techniques. Manage pharmacy inventory, focusing on best practices and protecting cold‑chain products. Maintain flexible scheduling to meet business needs while fostering an inclusive, engaging team dynamic. Keep clinical and technical skills current through required training, CMEs, and continuous learning. Deliver pharmacist‑led clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permitted. Adhere to all relevant federal, state laws, professional standards, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy. Essential Functions Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require. Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required training within designated timeframes. Perform tasks requiring 집중, rapid task switching, and patient safety focus. Demonstrate active listening, communication, and customer‑service skills. Use mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations. Resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions effectively. Physical Demands Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods. Lift, scan, and bag items, stretch or reach overhead, and manipulate objects with fingers and hands. Frequently lift up to 20lbs. Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state of the store. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
