Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, guiding the development of tailored treatment approaches.

  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies, empowering clients to heal and thrive.
  • \n
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring clients receive effective and appropriate care.

  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, offering a safe space for clients to explore their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and foster emotional healing.
  • \n
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.
  • \n
  • Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and well-being.
  • \n
  • Educating clients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping strategies, and available resources, empowering them with knowledge for better recovery.

  • Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, demonstrating the highest standards of patient care.

  • Participating in case consultations and team meetings focusing on trauma-informed care, further enhancing your ability to support clients effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve at Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers include a diverse range of individuals grappling with trauma-related disorders. This includes both adults and adolescents who have experienced various forms of trauma, including emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, as well as chronic stress and adverse childhood experiences. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will be essential in addressing their unique psychological needs.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • \n
  • A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
  • \n
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be preferred:

  • Two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.

  • Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

  • A background in working with diverse populations, particularly in community health settings.

  • Self-directed with strong time management skills, particularly in completing notes and documentation within 24 hours.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000, based on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
