Registered Nurse - Occupational Health

Occupational Health Registered Nurse Part‑time, 24‑hour per week temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s well‑known manufacturing client located in Iowa City, IA. Anticipating job to start ASAP and cover about 3‑6 months. This clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. The role helps keep employees healthy and safe at work and conducts medical screenings. Shift Schedule 24 hrs per week – Monday‑Thursday 7:00am to 1:00pm or Tuesday‑Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm. Top Skills You Should Possess Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Iowa Previous experience within Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Medicine, School Nursing, or Corrections settings Recent clinical experience and strong first‑aid skills Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing, and reliable Key Responsibilities Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc. Provide wellness materials and information (health promotion and disease prevention) Assist with the delivery of the medical surveillance program (hearing conservation and spirometry) Provide counseling, health education, and training programs Dispense OTC medications Respond to medical emergencies and administer first‑aid to employees What You Need to Bring to the Table Required Certifications: BLS & CAOHC/COHC (hearing conservation/audiometry). Hearing conservation course must be completed prior to starting if you do not already hold an active certification.
