ECU Center Operations Specialist I (Grant Funded)

Overview
Ensures compliance with federal standards on education, child health, and development, safety, and nutrition including eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance in the program.
Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a closely related field; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT An additional two years experience required. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must obtain within three (3) months of employment a physical and TB test and maintain annually thereafter. Must obtain proper automobile insurance coverage, Food Handler's Card, CPR Certification and First Aid Certification within three months of employment.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
