Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: June 15, 2026 | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Surgical/Trauma unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 (1:6 max)
• Manage post-operative care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, following surgeon- and physician-specific care pathways
• Utilize unit equipment including Hill Rom beds, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Welch Allyn devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Coordinate with unit secretaries and patient care technicians (2 techs available on nights) to support unit operations
• Float to other units as determined by house needs per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for practice in Georgia)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or orthopedic nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of scheduling requirements
• Compliance with unit dress code: royal blue scrubs; black, white, or royal blue jackets permitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in post-operative care and trauma nursing strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Orthopedic nursing background
