About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Special Projects in Asset Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for a targeted portfolio of developed affordable housing properties, providing asset management services, and performing general partner functions. This role involves evaluating operating performance, site inspections, compliance issues, and developing strategies for the acquisition, refinance, re-syndication, and disposition of the properties. The Vice President will also be the owner's representative in project operations, identifying and implementing improvement strategies, and ensuring the portfolio's physical and financial health. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in real estate or finance, with at least 3 years' of real estate experience, and a preference for multifamily asset or portfolio management. Experience in Section 42 housing is also preferred. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong financial acumen, and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive knowledge of the portfolio, participating in portfolio strategy and capital projects, reviewing financial statements, and property budgets, and conducting property inspections. The Vice President will also be expected to interact with various stakeholders, including state housing finance agencies, local governments, and investors, and to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
