Carpenter's Assistant

Job Description

Paulson's Construction is a leading home remodeling company in Livingston county looking to grow our team! We are looking to add a Carpenter's Assistant to work alongside our Carpenters on a wide array of home remodeling projects.

Responsibilities

Taking pride in your work.
Maintain a clean job-site.
Reliable transportation to arrive at job sites on time throughout Livingston county and surrounding areas.
Complete tasks given by Lead Carpenter/Superintendent.
Assist carpenters and learn valuable carpentry skills on the job.
Prepare work areas by transporting necessary tools and equipment from storage facilities.
Load and unload building materials for construction projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and carpenters.
Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures.
Ability to perform basic math.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid Michigan driver's license.
Physically able to perform assigned tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for prolonged periods.

Construction experience is a plus but anyone who desires a career in the construction/remodeling world, this might be the right fit for you! This position offers the advantage of on-the-job training with our team to develop valuable carpentry and construction skills and an opportunity for growth and advancement. Pay is dependent upon experience.
