Radar Signal Processing Engineer

Primary Responsibilities Research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms High-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysis, including related tool feature development and maintenance Integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems A variety of tasks related to signal processing, measurement tracker processing, system performance metrics, sensor simulation, or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals; managing multiple tasks while ensuring compatibility with the group’s larger codebases Basic Qualifications BS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with 8/12 applicable years of experience, OR MS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field plus 6-10 years of experience Excellent math skills and/or good fundamentals in one or more of the following: signals and systems, digital signal processing, tracking algorithms, electromagnetics Ability to apply the above skills to radar modeling & simulation, antenna array theory, digital signal processing, tracking, algorithm development, and field testing of sensor systems Demonstrated experience in understanding, evaluating, and implementing published scientific literature from sources such as IEEE Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or science-based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background Resident of the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate; NOT a remote position US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience in high-performance computing languages such as C++ including CUDA Experience in development or operations of radar HWILs Experience with ADCs, DACs, clock distribution, or embedded systems Highly organized, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Experience working on any radar or communications related program or project Ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation Experience utilizing AI tools to augment technical output (e.g., to improve or automate documentation or code generation) Experience in radar resource management algorithms and approaches to low-latency radar scheduling MS degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field Relevant publications in listed technology areas Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $107,900.00 - $195,050.00 Employment benefits include competitive compensation, Health and Wellness programs, Income Protection, Paid Leave and Retirement.
