Job Description

Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Qualifications: New Hampshire Certification: Speech Pathologist Appropriate State License or Certification

Reports To: Building Principal, Assistant Director(s) of Special Services

Performance

Responsibilities

1. Supervises Communication Disorder Specialist/Speech Specialist.

2. Administer and interpret speech and language evaluations.

3. Share assessment information with team members in order to define a child's communication disorder.

4. Provide individual therapy, group therapy, consult and training, and development of augmentative communication systems for those deemed in need of speech-language therapy services in the least restrictive environments.

5. Maintain performance data on each child's progress.

6. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings (i.e., parent conferences, team meetings).

7. Outline strengths and weaknesses for a child with a communication disorder and develop goals and objectives to target weaknesses.

8. Other duties as assigned by Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.

Employment: Teaching contract year

Evaluations: Performance of these responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff evaluation.
