The Director of Pharmacy will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President. Schedule This full-time, exempt position will work at least 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, and periodic weekend coverage About the Pharmacy Pharmacy hours are weekdays 8:00am - 4:30pm. The pharmacy utilizes Epic and Omnicell. Primary Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital’s clinical, quality, and financial goals Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management Lead, develop, and hold accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws Oversee pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiatives Collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives Drive innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy services You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications Recent experience in a hospital setting Experience using computer applications including MS Office, pharmacy information systems, and automated dispensing systems Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting 2+ years of pharmacy management experience working in a hospital setting Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
