About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first timers accepted. License: Required licensure. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: - Experience with renal medical surgical patients. - Proficiency with Epic charting system. Description: The medical surgical unit provides care for adult to geriatric patients. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:5-6. The average daily census is approximately 48 with 49 rooms available. Duties include, but are not limited to, medication administration, patient assessment, and care planning. The candidate must be prepared to work every other weekend. Floating within the facility may be required based on the needs of the unit. There are no call requirements for this position. The nurse is expected to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment period. If three major holidays occur during the assignment, the nurse must work two of them. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time. Compliance documents must be submitted in a timely manner. Experience with various clinical procedures and patient care management is essential. A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams is expected. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Emphasis is placed on high-quality patient care and safety.
