Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

This Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D/OB RN) role involves providing specialized maternal and neonatal care on an every other weekend schedule. The position requires delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing services to mothers and infants throughout the birthing process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive obstetric and neonatal care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, recognizing and responding to any abnormalities promptly.
• Document patient progress and clinical interventions accurately using MEDITECH EMR.
• Educate patients and families on maternity care, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current NC RN licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of L&D or OB nursing experience preferred.
• Travel experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong clinical skills in obstetric and neonatal care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Current certifications as required by facility standards.
