Unique Snacks is a 104-year-old 6th generation family-owned business, located across from the Fairgrounds Farmers Market, that is best known for their Splits, Shells and Sourdough ring pretzels. In 2016 they were named “Snack Producer of the Year” by Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery.

Work Schedule:

• 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm), Typical work week is Monday - Friday, however overtime/weekend work is required during extended production runs every other weekend.

 

SUMMARY

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma OR GED
• Ability to add, subtract and use mathematical skills
• Able to read, write and understand English
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive environment. – Strong communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with the ability to model proper work habits for warehouse associates.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow directions with minimal supervision, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). (Required)
• 5+ years Warehouse experience (Required)
• 3+ years of forklift operator experience (Required)
• Previous leadership experience (Required)
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld devices (Preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Excel (Required)

The Spannuth Family started baking hard and soft pretzels back in the late 1800's. The demand for our hard pretzels increased rapidly because of our "Unique" baking process. Our pretzels burst open creating bubbles and crevices that were crispy, yet crunchy, and full of flavor. As we produced this split-open pretzel we started calling them "Splits.". They were the only one of their kind.

"Shells" are another variation of a Unique Pretzel. We use our split-open baking process to remove the inside of the pretzel and create bite-size hollow pockets. What's left? The best part! The crunchy, tasty outside pretzel shell.
