Job Overview At Niagara, we’re looking for a Batching Manager to lead the aseptic batching area, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production goals. Responsibilities Manage and direct the aseptic batching department, ensuring product adheres to safety, quality, and throughput standards while maintaining proper operating aseptic techniques and procedures. Collaborate with the production and planning departments to create production schedules that meet internal and external needs, establishing and adjusting work procedures and schedules. Ensure team members follow all SSOPs in compliance with aseptic principles and adhere to all requirements protecting the sterility and integrity of the process and product. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all materials comply with inventory standards and that all team members are trained in standard aseptic practices, regulatory requirements, GMPs, HACCP, and SQF expectations. Maintain quality standards of all products to meet food safety and shelf‑life expectations and analyze and submit reports on batching yields, system processes, attendance, overtime, and quality checks to the APD and Plant Director. Develop and implement measures to improve production batching methods, equipment performance, and product quality, while reducing raw‑material and product shrink. Partner with Human Resources for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations, and provide direction to supervisors on coaching, development, employment decisions, and conflict resolution. Coordinate preventative maintenance on production lines and collaborate with System Engineers, R&D, and commercialization on aseptic process improvements. Interface with multiple departments to ensure customer deadlines are met and champion a world‑class safety culture by adhering to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs. Escalate supplier quality issues to prevent customer shortages and work with the Quality Department to resolve non‑conforming finished goods, raw materials, and customer complaints. Minimum Qualifications 6 years of experience in an aseptic or similar manufacturing environment. 6 years of experience in the required position. 6 years of experience managing people/projects. Understanding of aseptic production processes and controls. Food processing experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment. Demonstrated functional and technical knowledge of the aseptic process. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience in an aseptic or similar manufacturing environment. 10+ years of experience in the required position. 10+ years of experience managing people/projects. Demonstrated functional and technical knowledge of the aseptic process. Education Minimum Required: 5+ years of leadership experience, food science, chemistry, microbiology, or a bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, business administration, or related vocational studies. Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related vocational studies. Certification / License Required: SQF, HACCP, GMP. Preferred: OSHA, Aseptic, foreign language.
