Senior PeopleSoft HCM Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PeopleSoft HCM Business Analyst with 10+ years of domain expertise to lead key functional initiatives for a PeopleSoft HCM v9.2 implementation and operational enhancement effort.
In this role, you will serve as the core functional bridge between Payroll & Benefits business leads, technical developers, DBAs, and project managers—driving solution design, FLSA compliance, system configuration, custom reporting, and post-implementation support.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Analysis & Requirements: Partner with business leads to analyze operational processes, map functional requirements, and author detailed specification documents.
FLSA & System Configuration: Maintain core product tables and lead the configuration and implementation of FLSA compliance within a large-scale enterprise setup.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Create comprehensive test plans/scripts and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all new functional deliverables.
Custom Reporting & SQL: Develop custom database queries, formatted operational reports, and data extracts using SQL, SQR, and XML/BI Publisher.
Integrations & Interfaces: Define requirements for module-to-module integrations (Time & Labor to Payroll) and third-party vendor/financial interfaces.
Tier-3 Production Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for system issues, helpdesk escalations, and off-duty batch processing support as needed.
Required Qualifications
10+ Years of hands-on Business Analyst experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM (v9.2) within large public sector (government) or enterprise organizations in the US.
Domain Mastery: In-depth understanding of end-to-end Payroll processing, W-2s, state/federal tax reporting, complex Benefits configuration, and FLSA setups.
Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with SQL, SQR, XML Publisher, and Oracle database structures; working knowledge of PeopleTools (PeopleCode, Component Interface, File Layouts).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Soft Skills: Outstanding client-facing communication, self-motivated leadership, and a track record of cross-training internal teams.
