Job Description:

Oneida Air Systems is looking for a Motor Assembly Technician with the desire to become part of an excellent organization.

• Responsible to follow training and company procedures to assemble and package company products, including:
• • Basic wiring of electrical motors
  • Assembly of components into finished products
  • Boxing of finished goods
• Responsible to meet company standard times set for each assembly job
• Responsible for checking quality issues on all items that are completed in the motor assembly unit.
• Use electronic means (computers or tablets) to create labels and record work completion
• Use hand and power tools during assembly processes
• Some assembly jobs require moving items exceeding 50 lbs.
• Move and stock raw materials and finished goods as needed
• Take on other responsibilities as requested by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
• Basic computer skills
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring
• Knowledge of and adherence to safe lifting practices
• Ability to appropriately and effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and managers in verbal or written format
• Good teamwork skills
• Good attendance record
• Positive attitude
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly without assistance, and team lift to 100 lbs.
• Willing and able to work OT as needed

Preferred Experience

• Experience applying lean manufacturing concepts
• Prior manufacturing assembly experience
• Experience with safe operation of hand and power tools
• 1-3 years of experience in an electrical wiring or motor assembly role

Additional Information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Shift availability: Day shift – 6 am – 2:30 pm Monday through Friday (required), occasional overtime available

Work location: In person
