Pay

$16.00 - $23.00+ per hour

Starting pay is based on your experience, education, certifications, and credentialing. Highly qualified candidates may earn more.

What You'll Do

As an Ophthalmic Assistant , you'll work directly alongside physicians, providing both clinical and administrative support while helping deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing patient workups and obtaining medical histories
• Assisting with ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic testing
• Scribing during patient appointments
• Assisting physicians with examinations, injections, minor procedures, and surgeries
• Preparing exam rooms and equipment
• Educating and assisting patients throughout their visit
• Maintaining accurate medical documentation
• Supporting the clinical team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who have:

• 1-3 years of experience in ophthalmology, retina, or optometry , preferred

OR

• 3+ years of hands-on healthcare experience , such as:
• • Medical Assistant (MA)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
  • Phlebotomist
  • Surgical Technologist
  • Other direct patient care experience

Candidates with previous retina or ophthalmology experience are highly preferred , but motivated healthcare professionals from related clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Travel Requirements

This position requires occasional travel to provide coverage between the Canton and Canfield offices as needed. Applicants should have reliable transportation and be willing to travel periodically to support the team.
