THIS POSITION IS FULL TIME AND MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY  Hours are 11AM to 7 PM Sunday to Thursday and subject to change

Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality

standards; Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines; A successful candidate will be

someone with a strong passion for cooking that can efficiently work both as a member of

a team and as a proactive individual executing not only the day to day tasks and

responsibilities but also addressing/handling of any needs that may arise. This position

requires someone that is familiar with cooking techniques and can learn quickly and

retain information. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day (open 7/365) and

provide occasional event platters as well as premade meals for admissions. We work on

a 35 day cyclical menu (each lunch and dinner is different) and there is a wide variety of

dishes included therein. The vast majority of the food is made from scratch and a

developed palate is crucial. Benefits include 100% company paid Medical, Dental and

Essential Duties

● Maintain orderly storage and cleanliness in all areas and of items in the

kitchen, dining room, and refuse disposal areas.

● Correctly and appropriately utilize cleaning agents in all food preparation

areas.

● Utilize appropriate care and safety of all kitchen equipment, including

demonstrating the safe and efficient operation of a commercial dishwasher.

● Prep and serve salad bar

● Serving food to and interacting with patients

● Adherence to health code and company guidelines

● Completion and execution of tasks on daily checklists

● Operating/cleaning of equipment including outdoor grill, flat top grill,

convection oven, deep fryer, gas range, etc

● Opening and/or closing the kitchen using the provided operating

procedures.

● Receiving/Stocking orders.

● Prioritize food, patient, and employee safety at all times.

● Keep the work area clean and in sanitary condition at all times and before

going off duty.

● Wash hands frequently throughout the day and before preparing food.

● Retrieve food or other kitchen supplies from the storeroom using

appropriate body mechanics.

● Obey safety rules and regulations of the department. Report any faulty

equipment or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor.

● Follow policies and procedures, attend the in-services of the facility and

department.

● Conform to uniform, personal hygiene, PPE, and good grooming

standards, including, but not limited to: wear a hairnet, a beard net, a clean

uniform, and present a groomed and neat appearance with clean hands and

short, clean fingernails.

● Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Dishwasher

● High school diploma or GED. Work experience may substitute for

educational requirements.

● Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card.

● Working knowledge of sanitation procedures.

● Commercial kitchen experience preferred.
