Production Engineer Job Summary:


• Pay: pay will depend on experience


• Shifts Available:


o 1st shift Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Evaluate current manufacturing methods and recommend improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Investigate production disruptions and equipment challenges, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with operations teams to improve workplace safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in the design, installation, and startup of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production systems.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
• Conduct production studies to evaluate process capability, equipment performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Analyze manufacturing data and performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support facility, equipment, and automation projects from planning through implementation.
• Assist in developing manufacturing layouts and workflow improvements to optimize plant performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers on equipment upgrades, repairs, and engineering projects.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
• Participate in root cause investigations related to quality issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Support continuous improvement efforts using Lean principles, Kaizen activities, and structured problem-solving techniques.
• Ensure projects are completed according to safety, quality, budget, and timing objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel when needed.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, engineering documentation, and change-control information.
• Support special assignments and engineering projects as directed by management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field is required
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to gather and interpret production data to drive decision-making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours when production demands require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production engineering, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering role.
• Experience supporting fabrication, welding, stamping, plastics, assembly, paint, or automated production operations.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with robotics, automated equipment, conveyors, and manufacturing systems.
• Working knowledge of CAD software and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience supporting equipment installations, process validation, and production launches.

Work Environment


This position involves a combination of office work and time spent within a manufacturing facility. Employees will regularly be present on the production floor supporting operations and engineering activities. Exposure to industrial machinery, noise, heat, moving equipment, and typical manufacturing conditions should be expected.


All employees must comply with company safety standards, wear required PPE, and actively promote a safe working environment at all times.


Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting as needed during engineering support activities.
• Ability to enter production areas and safely navigate around operating equipment.
