About All-Star Swim School All-Star Swim School is a year-round family owned business located in rural Danville, California. We have been teaching children since 1998 to be swim safe, learn the core basics of swimming, and perfect stroke technique. All-Star was founded by Brian Oas, a previous competitive swimmer and long-time swim instructor. He created a non-intimidating swim program focusing on children being swim safe and having fun in the water. All-Star is owned and operated by Brian and his wife Jennifer, bringing a unique background both in competitive swimming, childhood education, and working with special needs children. Private Swim Instructor - NOT A SEASONAL POSITION Paid Training $30/hour Part Time Wages begin at $30 a hour Schedule Monday 3:00 PM - 6:30PM Tuesday 3:00 PM - 6:30PM Wednesday 3:00 PM - 6:30PM Thursday 3:00 PM - 6:30PM Friday 3:00 PM - 6:30PM All-Star Swim School is seeking dedicated, caring swim instructors who love working with young children to join our team. The candidate for this part time position is required to have prior swimming experience as well as experience working with or teaching young children. Qualifications High school or equivalent (Required) Background in swimming (swim team, water polo, life-guarding, etc.). Swimming: 3 years (Required) Experience working with children (classroom setting and/or knowledge of child development is desirable). Commitment to employment and professionalism. High School Degree required, college degree preferred. Credentialed teachers and Allied Health professionals (OT/PT) are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assess, create, and deliver high quality swim instruction using the All-Star Swim School philosophy for children of all ages and abilities. Complete client notes daily. Maintain and clean pool and facility surroundings as required. Perform various duties associated with opening and closing of the pool and facility. Requirements and Expectations The Candidate will be able to: Understand and articulate the All-Star Swim School Philosophy to current and prospective clients. Be a positive role model in and out of the pool. Exhibit initiative and independent thinking while learning and performing tasks. Work independently and as a strong team member.
