Landscaping Specialist

Location: Columbia, MO. This role involves travel throughout the Columbia region and other parts of Missouri. Some overnight travel may be required. Responsibilities Cares for established lawns and beds by mulching, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Applies herbicide and pesticide chemicals to grounds, trees, bushes, and shrubs to control weeds and plant diseases. Assists with gathering and removing litter from grounds. Operates appropriate hand and power tools, including shovels, rakes, saws, gas blowers, trimmers, and shapes hedges to desired design. Addresses questions or concerns from clients, communicating customer inquiries to the supervisor. Cleans, maintains, and repairs tools and equipment as necessary. Communicates and works in conjunction with Supervisor by completing and submitting job site reports on property and equipment. Adheres to company’s employee manual & safety procedures, demonstrates proper use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment. Travels to and participates in regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Science, or Landscape Maintenance preferred. Prior experience operating lawn care equipment preferred. Able to provide independent transportation to company-owned locations within the Columbia area and legally operate a registered and properly insured vehicle.
