Residential Therapist Responsibilities Residential Therapist carries out the responsibilities of obtaining social history information to familiarize clinical staff and physicians with the patient and any past/present problems. Acts as liaison with the patient’s family or support system and referral sources. Provides direct psychotherapy to patients in individual, family, and group settings. Experience: Prefer one year of experience working in a psychiatric setting with patients aged 10–18 years. Must have working knowledge of DBT. Licensure/Certification: LCSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LMHC, LMHC-A, or LSW license in the state of Indiana required or license eligible. Must complete DBT skills training certification course within 6 months of hire.
