We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join a growing company in North Georgia for an immediate opportunity! This onsite role is suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented accountant who can contribute quickly in a multi-entity environment without requiring extensive training on core systems, specifically NetSuite. The position supports a demanding close process and offers a standard Monday thru Friday daytime schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule to support daily and monthly accounting operations.

• Maintain the general ledger across multiple entities, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly and account balances are reliable.

• Participate in month-end close activities for several business units and help meet close timeline.

• Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Support corporate tax and sales tax activities, including the preparation of filings and related documentation.

• Assist with corporate tax return processes by organizing financial data and coordinating required schedules.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to manage a substantial closing workload and improve the distribution of close-related tasks.

• Work onsite with internal stakeholders to provide dependable accounting support and maintain strong financial controls.

• Prior experience as a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant in a mid-sized or larger organization, multi-entity experience required.

• NetSuite experience required.

• Demonstrated background handling accounting responsibilities for more than one entity or business unit.

• Strong working knowledge of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures.

• Experience supporting corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return preparation.

• Ability to work independently in an onsite environment and contribute with minimal system training.

• High attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced accounting cycle.

• This role is not intended for entry-level candidates; candidates should bring practical, directly relevant accounting experience.
