Technical Manager

Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Manager to lead a team responsible for enterprise virtual desktop, cloud, and infrastructure services supporting a global workforce. This role is ideal for someone who has managed Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, Virtualization, End User Computing (EUC), or VDI teams and can provide both technical leadership and strategic direction. While Citrix expertise is highly valued, we are open to candidates whose Citrix experience may be from prior roles, provided they have strong experience leading infrastructure teams in complex enterprise environments.

In this position, you will oversee engineers supporting hybrid on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual desktop environments, Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, and end-user services. You will drive key initiatives such as infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, VDI deployments, platform upgrades, and automation efforts while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading high-performing technical teams, managing large-scale infrastructure projects, improving operational stability, and delivering reliable, secure solutions across a global enterprise environment.

Preferred experience:

• Experience managing Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, Virtualization, EUC, or Citrix teams

• Knowledge of virtual desktop technologies such as Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon, or similar platforms

• Experience leading teams supporting Windows, Active Directory, virtualization, cloud, and end-user infrastructure

• Strong project leadership experience involving migrations, upgrades, automation, and enterprise technology rollouts

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership

• Experience in large enterprise environments supporting distributed or global user populations

This is a highly visible leadership role offering the opportunity to shape infrastructure strategy, mentor a talented engineering team, and drive modernization initiatives across a complex technology environment.

Position is based in Austin, TX with a 4 days onsite / 1 day remote schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $100.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
