Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from surgery or anesthesia in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Ensure patient safety and comfort through vigilant monitoring and timely interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, airway, and consciousness levels continuously.
• Administer medications and perform airway management as needed according to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth transition and recovery of patients.
• Document patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Manage post-procedure care, including central line maintenance and airway stabilization.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations, providing critical interventions when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Valid CA RN license uploaded within the last 2 weeks in Nursys.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with valid expiration dates.
• Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in critical care or PACU in an acute care setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in airway management, central line care, and post-procedure nursing.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Ability to comply with Tier 3 travel requirements and local submission rules.
