Substitute Licensed Practical NurseLPN positions involve caring for the medical needs of students placed in BOCES classrooms which are located in a Special Education Host Site program. Assistance with all medical aspects of the students' day is expected.Students need assistance with areas of daily living skills which may include, but are not limited to:Personal careFeeding - may or may not include tubal feedingMonitoring during and after feedingToileting - may or may not include diaperingMaintaining safety during transitionsRedirectionTask initiationCommunicationInteracting with others and supervision of sensory activities and routinesRegular assessment of respiratory needsThe employee must possess a valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse license and be physically able and willing to meet the needs of the students.Dispensing medications, under direction of R.N.Completing Medicaid paperwork, under the direction of R.N.Assist with student arrival and departureHelp students carry out prescribed physical exercisesHelps student with daily living skills/hygieneFollows medical protocolOther duties as assigned
