Sr. Buyer

Position Overview QinetiQ US is seeking a Sr Buyer for our Lorton, VA location. Responsibilities Responsibilities of a Senior Buyer include the strategic sourcing of materials and services, managing procurement processes, and optimizing cost without compromising on quality. This involves: Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals. Negotiate and execute purchase orders and Long-Term Agreement contracts with suppliers and secure advantageous terms. Perform price/cost analysis. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations. Required Qualifications 10 years of experience- 7+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 3+ years in a senior position handling complex procurement task. Understands Contractors Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) requirements. Use of Costpoint ERP system. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications Positive attitude. Results focused. Strategic Mindset. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Problem Solver. Ability to work independently. Pay Transparency The salary range for this role is $100-130K USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
