An upscale restaurant in the heart of Gatlinburg is seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead its culinary operations. Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an executive chef in an upscale or fine dining setting.
• Proven ability to manage, train, and mentor back-of-house teams
• Skilled in managing food and labor costs to achieve profitability.
• Experience with Toast or similar POS/inventory software.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, humble demeanor.
• Local candidates strongly preferred; no relocation assistance is offered.

Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience at restaurants recognized for excellence (Michelin Bib Gourmand or similar accolades a plus).
• Creative menu development with an appreciation for seasonal, modern cuisine.
• Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
• Ability to maintain composure and a team-first attitude in a high-expectation environment.

Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead all culinary operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Create innovative, seasonally inspired menus and specials that enhance guest experience.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
• Manage food and labor costs for operational excellence and profitability.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with front-of-house leaders to ensure seamless service.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
