Diesel Mechanic

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are mostly a newer-fleet maintenance shop. Looking for someone with hands-on experience diagnosing engine, ABS, & aftertreatment issues. Need someone reliable, and with the right experience to diagnose issues efficiently. We primarly service Freighliners, International LT, Volvo and sometimes Peterbilt and Kenworth. Responsibilities: * Diagnose, repair, and maintain various diesel engines, transmissions, and related components * Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and complete repair orders with accuracy * Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical issues * Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and high-quality repairs * Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company and industry standards Required Experience & Skills: * Minimum 2 years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience * Strong knowledge of diesel engine and transmission systems * Proficiency with major diagnostic software, including: * * DiagnosticLink * Cummins INSITE * Volvo/Mack Tech Tool * DAF DAVIE * Other heavy-duty chassis and OEM diagnostic programs * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions * Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude * Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required) Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with electrical systems and after-treatment systems * Strong communication skills and ability to work with management and customers as needed What We Offer: * Competitive pay based on experience * Supportive and professional work environment * Holidays, Vacation, Paid Lunch JOB IS LOCATED IN HODGKINS, IL
