Job Title: MAC Admin EUC / L2 Network Specialist



Location: Redwood City, CA



Role Type: Senior IT Support / Systems Engineering Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience supporting Apple/macOS environments , enterprise endpoint management, and Layer 2 networking/Wi-Fi infrastructure . This person will serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues while helping maintain endpoint security, network availability, and efficient device deployments.

Key Responsibilities

MacOS & Endpoint Management 60%

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air environments.
• Troubleshoot complex macOS hardware, operating system, and application issues.
• Manage Apple devices through MDM platforms such as Jamf Pro, Kandji, or Mosyle .
• Implement and maintain FileVault, EDR, OS compliance, and endpoint security policies .
• Manage Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment / Zero-Touch Provisioning .
• Handle complete endpoint lifecycle management, including provisioning, updates, security, and retirement.
• Use Zsh/Bash scripting and macOS configuration management for automation and troubleshooting.

L2 Networking & Wireless 30%

• Troubleshoot and maintain Layer 2 networking environments, including VLANs, STP, LACP, and trunking .
• Support enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Conduct wireless heat-map assessments and assist with RF optimization.
• Manage 802.1X / RADIUS authentication and WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise environments.
• Support DHCP, DNS, IPAM, subnetting, and local office routing.
• Work with network infrastructure including Cisco Meraki, Aruba, and Ubiquiti switches and access points.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams on cabling and network connectivity issues.

Firewall & Security 10%

• Perform basic administration and troubleshooting of Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Meraki MX firewalls.
• Maintain firewall policies, NAT, port forwarding, ACLs, and site-to-site VPNs.
• Troubleshoot user VPN connectivity involving IPsec, OpenVPN, and WireGuard .

Required Skills

• 5 7 years of hands-on IT support, EUC, systems administration, or systems engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in macOS / Apple endpoint administration .
• Experience with Jamf Pro, Kandji, Mosyle , or similar MDM platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Zsh/Bash scripting and macOS system configuration.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Layer 2 networking protocols .
• Experience supporting enterprise 802.11 wireless environments .
• Hands-on experience with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and/or Google Workspace .
• Experience with Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and Tier 2/3 escalation experience.
