XCOMM Ops Cyber Instructor Developer

Overview Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client. The Work TheXCOMM Ops Cyber Instructor Developerwill be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering advanced cyber operations training tailored to the unique demands of cross-communications operations. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Design, update, and maintain operational cyber training modules and materials, including lesson plans, practical exercises, and assessments, for XCOMM Ops trainees. Ensure technical accuracy, relevance to mission needs, and consistency with evolving client standards and frameworks. Develop training scenarios that simulate real-world incidents and threats to XCOMM operations. Deliver in-depth, hands‑on training to diverse audiences, including military operators, cyber analysts, and support teams. Lead facilitation of classroom‑based, virtual, or in‑the‑field training sessions, utilizing advanced instructional tools and methods. Support XCOMM Ops teams by providing mission‑critical insight into communications systems vulnerabilities, security protocols, and cyber risk mitigation strategies. Conduct research on emerging cyber threats specific to XCOMM operations and integrate findings into the training program. Actively participate in operational exercises and evaluations to provide technical expertise. Develop assessment tools to evaluate trainee performance and proficiency. Identify areas for improvement in student outcomes and adapt instructional materials accordingly. Prepare after‑action reports, lessons learned, and recommendations for incorporation into future training iterations. Coordinate with technical writers, SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), and policy advisors to ensure training alignment with operational objectives. Interface with program managers and client stakeholders to ensure training objectives and deliverables are met on schedule. Assist with training solutions proposal development for contracts when required. Other duties as assigned. XCOMM Ops Cyber Instructor Developer Journeyman: Associate’s degree (STEM field) or approved equivalent experience. Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. IAT level II certification required. 3 years’ cyber‑related duties / experience / roles. Examples include knowledge in command line interface across various operating systems, host/network analysis, forensic analysis, scripting languages, terrain mapping, network fundamentals, and/or familiarity of cyberspace defense actions and missions supporting USCYBERCOM. 4 – 6 years’ expeditionary/tactical communications or equivalent experience. XCOMM Ops Cyber Instructor Developer Senior: Bachelor’s degree (STEM field) or approved equivalent experience. Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. IAT level II certification required. 5 years’ cyber‑related duties / experience / roles, such as knowledge in command line interface across various operating systems, host/network analysis, forensic analysis, scripting languages, terrain mapping, network fundamentals, and/or familiarity of cyberspace defense actions and missions supporting USCYBERCOM. 5 – 8 years’ expeditionary / tactical communications or equivalent experience. 200+ instructor podium hours or CCAF ISD certification and/or 400+ instructor hours (on podium) OR CCAF ISD certification. This skill level typically performs all functional duties independently and may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with high‑level attention to detail. Ability to analyze systems and procedures. Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position. Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
