Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year recent experience in specialty required; will consider 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license License: Registered Nurse State license (Compact license accepted; no temp licenses) Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross Must-Have: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals Description: Our unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit focused on diagnosing and treating a wide range of patients with respiratory disorders. Nurses in this area work with a 1:6 patient ratio and prioritize high-quality, specialized care for patients and their families dealing with various lung diseases or injuries. The unit values collaborative relationships with other departments, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy. This specialty requires a solid foundation of general medicine knowledge as well as expertise in respiratory skills.
