The Behavioral Health Unit at Memorial provides acute inpatient care for adults experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. Nurses on this 10-bed unit play a critical role in helping patients through some of their most vulnerable moments—offering assessment, support, medication management, and compassionate care in an environment focused on safety, dignity, and recovery.

What makes this role unique is the impact of the human connection. Behavioral Health nurses work closely with Mental Health Techs, social workers, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and a full interdisciplinary team to care for the whole person—not just the diagnosis. Every interaction is an opportunity to de-escalate fear, build trust, and help someone move toward healing.

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license

Qualifications

Education

Preferred

Associates or better in Nursing.

Bachelors or better in Nursing.
