Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Holiday Rotation Required | Weekend Shifts Required (3–4 per 4-Week Schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed mixed neurosurgery and general surgery unit, including patients with and without a stepdown component
• Manage a patient assignment within a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, subject to staffing conditions
• Monitor and assess neurological and post-surgical patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Float within clinical scope to support unit and facility needs as required
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in holiday rotation and emergency response assignments as directed, including potential hurricane season emergency response team duties

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neurology or neurosurgery nursing experience
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or experience
