Job Title Veterinary Research Support Technician, ARS NEIDL Max Containment Job Location Boston, MA, United States Job Category Boston University Medical Campus – Professional Position Type Full‑Time / Regular Role Overview Join a motivated, innovative team dedicated to providing safe and humane husbandry, technical and research support for a variety of laboratory animals to promote the study and mitigation of infectious diseases. Receive unique biocontainment training with opportunities for continuing education and growth. Will perform these duties at Bio Safety Levels 2, 3 & 4. Responsibilities Provide veterinary and technical support for laboratory animal research in a high-containment setting, ensuring compliance with BSL‑2, BSL‑3, and BSL‑4 protocols. Coordinate studies, oversee animal care, and maintain biosafety standards. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of lab animal experience for RSA (grade 46). BS, CVT, ALAT preferred. Minimum 5 years of lab animal experience, with at least 1 year as Veterinary Technician or equivalent, for RST (grade 47). BS, CVT, LAT preferred. Minimum 7 years of lab animal experience, with at least 1 year as Veterinary Technician or equivalent, for RSS (grade 48). BS, CVT, LATg preferred. BSL‑4 experience or experience as study coordinator required.
