Role Description The Electrical Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Newark, NJ, responsible for overseeing electrical projects from initial planning through completion. In this position, the individual coordinates project schedules, manages budgets, and supervises field teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within scope. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing electrical designs and drawings, organizing materials and labor, monitoring project progress, and resolving technical or logistical issues that arise on site. The role also involves communicating with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and company policies.
Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electricity and practical experience in electrical contracting.
Ability to review and oversee electrical design in coordination with electrical engineering principles.
Proficiency in project budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking for electrical projects.
Experience managing field crews, subcontractors, and scheduling in a construction or contracting environment.
Familiarity with local and national electrical codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirements.
Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and documentation.
Prior experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Foreperson, or similar role in the electrical industry preferred.
Relevant technical training or degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field; licensed electrician or equivalent certification is a plus.
