Deli Clerk

Deli Clerks are responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food products in the deli department. This position assists with food preparation, stocking, sanitation, and customer orders while maintaining company food safety and cleanliness standards. Requirements/Responsibilities Maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork, flexibility, and a customer-first environment. Greet and assist customers promptly with deli orders, questions, and product recommendations. Prepare and produce quality food products that meet or exceed company and customer expectations. Prepare sandwiches and other made-to-order deli items. Assist with preparing, stocking, and maintaining the hot bar and ready-to-eat food areas. Slice meats and cheeses according to customer requests and company standards. Serve food and beverages in a safe, friendly, and efficient manner. Take customer telephone orders for deli items, party trays, and specialty items. Ensure all self-service packaged products are properly labeled, weighed, and packaged with accurate ingredient information. Follow all company food safety and sanitation procedures. Assist with stocking, rotating, and organizing products to maintain freshness and quality. Keep workstations, prep areas, equipment, and surrounding areas neat and clean, including washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping. Maintain clean, organized, and attractive displays throughout the department. Work collaboratively with team members in multiple food service areas as needed. Food Service Associates should expect to be cross-trained in multiple areas with varying responsibilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain on feet for extended periods.
