Registered Nurse - Rapid Response

Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool, provides comprehensive nursing care across various Medical Surgical units. Responsibilities Performing patient assessments, documenting findings, and reassessing throughout hospitalization. Developing and evaluating individualized care plans incorporating evidence-based practices. Administering medications, managing IV fluids, and coordinating referrals and consultations. Ensuring patient safety with restraint and fall prevention, and managing pain and abuse assessments. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and team members, and providing education and discharge planning. Documenting care accurately, recognizing changes in patient condition, and implementing appropriate interventions. Demonstrating accountability, adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and professionalism. Participating in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and collaborative team efforts. Providing age-appropriate care and ensuring service excellence in a respectful, compassionate manner. Qualifications & Skills Valid RN license in applicable states with BLS certification. Preferred 2 years of critical care experience. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to changing demands and maintain professional standards.
