Engineering Specialist Maintenance – Gears Responsible for leading MOS (Maintenance Operating System) initiatives within the production and facilities department. Responsibilities Optimization of current production processes and maintenance tasks Lead equipment rebuilds Project and shutdown planning with engineers and production Spare part inventory auditing Develop preventative / predictive maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime Spare Parts Report key metrics around maintenance Provide input on new equipment design and purchase Support new model / equipment launch as required Lead UAW Personnel Qualifications Education: High School Diploma Experience: Ability to optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause Excellent communicator who can train both hourly and salary team members Self‑starter who takes ownership of projects and sees them through with limited supervision Demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD behaviors with outstanding interpersonal, team‑building, and communication skills Maintenance experience Ability to work various shifts Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferred; equivalent experience accepted 3-5 years experience in manufacturing Lean implementation AutoCAD High volume Mfg/Assembly Excel Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical manuals Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between shop floor technicians and corporate engineering teams Data‑driven mindset with focus on value‑added reporting and problem‑solving Job Info Job Identification 62483 Job Category Manufacturing Posting Date 05/05/2026, 01:42 PM Job Schedule Full time Location 36200 Plymouth Rd, Livonia, MI, 48150, US (On‑site) This position is a salary grade 6-7 and ranges from $72,480-$141,360.
