Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub across a high-volume operating room environment averaging 35–50 cases per day with turnovers expected in under 20 minutes
• Provide direct perioperative nursing care at a 1:1 patient ratio across 16 OR suites serving multiple service lines including cardiac/peripheral vascular, neuro, orthopedic trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci robotic systems, Stealth neuro-navigation, and Synthes/Stryker orthopedic trauma instrumentation
• Float across multiple campuses as required to support staffing needs
• Participate in weekend call coverage and be available to work required summer holidays unless the unit is closed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current operating room experience
• Circulating experience in the operating room is required
• Experience in General surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases is required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC EMR experience within the previous 3 years
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 15 months (first-time travelers will not be considered)
• Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license at time of submission
• Active BLS certification through AHA or ARC
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the operating room is highly preferred
• Experience in Neurology, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, and ENT cases
• Trauma Level I experience
• Hospital or medical center OR setting experience will be prioritized
