Kforce has a client that is seeking a Level 1 Technician in Selma, TX. Summary: We're looking for a hands-on Level 1 Technical Operations Technician who enjoys solving problems, working with technology, and helping people stay productive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of IT support, desktop support, field services, or technical operations experience who wants to continue building their technical skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Duties: Provide Hands-On Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues
- Support POS systems, PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets, and mobile devices
- Diagnose basic network issues involving Wi-Fi, switches, routers, access points, and internet connectivity
- Image, configure, deploy, replace, and troubleshoot equipment
- Provide both onsite and remote technical support
- Respond to service tickets within established service levels
- Document troubleshooting steps, actions taken, and resolutions
- Resolve Level 1 issues and appropriately escalate more complex problems to Level 2 support or engineering teams
- Follow established IT support processes, procedures, and documentation standards
- Assist with new store openings, remodels, relocations, technology refreshes, and deployments
- Coordinate with third-party vendors on installations and repairs
- Maintain spare technology equipment and asset inventory
- Perform preventive maintenance and technology health checks
- Build positive relationships with store leaders and associates
- Communicate technical information in a clear, approachable way
- Provide basic user guidance and training on supported technology
- Follow through on issues to help ensure timely resolution and a positive customer experience
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, field services, help desk, technical operations, or a similar IT support environment preferred
- Experience troubleshooting PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, and common network troubleshooting
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Associate degree, technical degree, or relevant IT certification
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools
- Previous experience supporting retail technology or point-of-sale systems
- Timely ticket response and resolution
- Technology uptime and reliability

- Accurate equipment deployments and project execution
- Clear documentation and adherence to operational standards
