Certifications:
- ACLS before start date
- BLS before start date
- PALS before start date
- TNCC before start date
- CPI before start date
- NIHSS before start date
- ENPC within 90 days of hire


Must-Have:
- 2 years experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high-volume emergency department
- Previous experience with high patient volumes preferred
- Must have at least 1 year experience in an emergency setting
- Teamwork mentality and the ability to provide feedback in real time
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the department


Description:
The emergency department has a typical patient ratio of 4:1 for medical patients and can go up to 7:1 on behavioral holds.
Techs are available and work in various roles including cardiac monitoring and internal processing.
Documentation is performed using a specific electronic system.


Scheduling requires working every other weekend.
There cannot be commitment to block scheduling; the schedule must meet departmental needs.
Floating is not allowed outside of the emergency department but must be open to floating within all sections of the emergency department.


Patient experience is a priority.
AIDET and respectful behavior is essential.
Communication boards must be updated with information throughout the patient's visit.


Advanced skills required include the ability to read telemetry monitors and passing the telemetry exam.
The department fosters a collaborative environment and values a diverse community.
Staff work together to serve a multicultural community with over 120 languages spoken.
