Purchasing Manager

Purchasing ManagerNational Distribution firm seeks a Category Purchasing Manager to join their team. The position is located in Farmingdale, NY (In Office) with a salary range of $100k - $115k.Responsibilities include:Performing a variety of tasks including inventory analysis, price book management, marketing, alternative markets, and negotiating with vendors.Must have experience purchasing grocery items, especially produce and perishables.Managing all purchasing activities.Direct interaction with all departments within the company, as well as with key customers.Analyzing changes or new issues in materials and supplies to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality.Receiving orders and granting approval for purchases of goods and services.Relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Requirements include:Finance experience / pricing evaluation / retail cost analysis / gross profit margin knowledge a plus.Prior experience in procurement of CPG products required.C-Store (convenient store) experience is a plus.Strong analytical skills and negotiating skills.Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
