Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering tests, and developing customized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing medical conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously, depending on your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families on health promotion, preventative measures, and management of chronic conditions
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapeutic interventions within your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic condition management

• Maintaining accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR)

Education & Credentials Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Michigan
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to secure these within 90 days)
