Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Valid license to practice as a COTA in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience supporting students in school or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of best practices in therapeutic interventions for children
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
• Adaptable and organized, able to manage multiple caseloads efficiently

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to deliver therapy plans and interventions tailored to students’ needs
• Support students in achieving IEP goals and participate in meetings as needed
• Provide direct therapy within classroom and small group settings
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and report updates to the therapy team and teachers
• Engage with teachers and staff to incorporate strategies into daily routines
• Encourage student independence and participation in school activities
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
