Front Desk Receptionist - Pediatric Dental Office

Join our friendly and professional pediatric dental team as a Front Desk Receptionist, where your excellent communication skills and organizational abilities will help create a welcoming environment for our young patients and their families. This role offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact, ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, providing information and scheduling appointments

- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient daily operations

- Hand out and process necessary patient paperwork, including new patient forms and consent documents

- Collect payments for services rendered and process transactions accurately

- Update and verify patient insurance information, ensuring records are current and accurate

- Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments

- Offer and explain financing options to patients as needed

- Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records and office documentation

- Assist with other front desk duties to support the overall office workflow

Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 7am - 5pm (lunch from 12pm - 1pm). 18 hours/week.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a dental or medical office front desk role preferred but not required

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

- Proficiency with basic computer skills

- Knowledge of insurance plan benefits & provisions 

- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality following HIPAA protocols

- Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on patient service

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

High School Graduate

Working knowledge of Microsoft programs Word & Excel or the Google workspace equivalents
