Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Springfield, Missouri. The role involves providing direct patient care in a busy trauma center within the Emergency Department. Candidates are required to bring their current RN license on the first day. This assignment is scheduled to start on 07/20/2026 and will last for 13 weeks.

Job Details

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 1300-0100, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license (eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale). Experience in an Emergency Department for 1 year in a Level 1 Trauma Center or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma and pediatric experience, high patient volume (200+ patients/day), high acuity experience.
• Additional Information: Utilizes nursing process to provide patient care, maintains professional accountability, evaluates care effectiveness, coordinates with other departments, and ensures patient rights and confidentiality. Functions within the scope of Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, and Mercy Service Standards. This is a high-acuity trauma center requiring determined, decisive, and flexible personnel.
