This position gives you a chance to help keep the PSP Academy facilities clean, organized, and ready for daily activity. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports the cleanliness and upkeep of the PSP Academy buildings and surrounding grounds to ensure a safe and healthy environment. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties: General Cleaning: Clean offices, classrooms, dormitory areas, hallways, and stairways, including mopping, dusting, emptying trash, and ensuring lighting is operational Restroom Care: Clean restrooms, locker rooms, and shower areas and restock bathroom supplies Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain cleaning machinery and equipment Area Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in additional assigned spaces throughout the grounds Emergency Support: Assist with duties during catastrophic incidents and report to designated locations when directed Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be assigned to work the first weekend of cadet class arrivals. Irregular Schedule: You may work a flex schedule that is not core hours. Your schedule may change based on operational needs. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,010.00 (before taxes). FREE parking! REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements: You must possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
